Pre-qualified for the development of Dragør Municipality into a climate robust coast municipality
Climate changes are a fact and in the long term, rising water levels as well as frequent floods will have a significant impact on the coastal municipalities. Dragør Municipality is with no less than 13 km coastline and its location in the landscape particularly exposed. Therefore, the state and the EU have pointed out the municipality as one of the ten most exposed areas in Denmark.
In a partnership, Realdania and The Ministry of Environment and Food in Denmark have granted financial support to Dragør Municipality’s pilot project under the campaign “The Cities and the rising seawater”.
GHB Landscape Architects are among the three teams that have been pre-qualified to participate in the parallel competition for a strategic development plan for Dragør to become a climate robust coast municipality.
In addition to GHB Landscape Architects, the team consists of Hele Landet – Social Architects, CORNELIUS VÖGE Atelier for Architecture and Tyréns consulting engineer.
